Bolivia:
Number of days: 17
Places visited: Uyuni, Sucre, La Paz, Copacabana/Lake Titicaca

Rating: 8.4/10 (underrated)
Highlights:
- Uyuni- Salar de Uyuni tour was a cool experience, did the 3d/2n tour.
- Sucre- Beautiful town, great food
- La Paz- Did the death road bike tour, going downhill on those small dirt roads with the huge cliffs was terrifying at first but I LOVED IT.
- Still a lot of Inca influence
Lowlights:
- l almost passed out on the Salar de Uyuni tour when I went in one of the hot springs
- Can be very hard to breathe at first due to the very high altitude
Overview: I would say Bolivia is pretty underrated. You have to do the Salaar de Uyuni tour. I did it when the salt flats were dry so all you could see is salt for miles which looked like snow but if you do it during rainy season you’ll get a cool mirror effect. It is very cold in Bolivia as they are at a high altitude. Sucre is a beautiful old town with all white buildings. In La Paz you should be careful of altitude sickness as it is the highest Capital city in the world. I highly highly recommend doing the death road bike tour for a good rush, its pretty safe but they do have landslides that may wipe out the road. Bolivia still has a huge Inca influence so it is very different from the rest of South America.

- Cusco- One of the waitresses asked me out and we went on a few dates. Ended up spending 2 weeks here. Beautiful place. Road the train to Machu Pichu. Ate Cuy here (Guinea Pig)- Huacachina- Many fun activities to do here. Did sandboarding and ATVs in the sand dunes.
- Iquitos - took the slow boat from Iquitos to Yurimaguas, 5 days, no internet, just relaxing on a hammock…got attacked by pirates which was an adventure.
- Hauraz- Beautiful hike to snowcapped mountain with a lake
Lowlights:
- Was riding a night bus from Arequipa to Cusco and the bus broke down at 2am in the middle of nowhere, no internet connection. Had to wait a few hours for a new bus to pick us up.
Overview: One of my favorite countries in South America. The landscape here is very diverse from mountains, to deserts, to jungles it has it all! The locals are pretty out going here and muy amable. For those of you that love hiking I would recommend Huaraz. If you want a jungle experience you can go to Iquitos or Puerto Maldonado. I did Iquitos because I wanted to take the slow boat up the Amazon. You can only fly to Iquitos, you can not drive. Obviously you have to visit Machu Pichu as well, I took the train and it was a cool train ride through the mountains.
Funny story - For the slow boat in Iquitos to Yurimaguas it was a 5 day journey up the Amazon. You have to sleep on a hammock and they feed you breakfast, lunch and dinner. On our second day on the river our boat was blocked by 4 smaller boats and they demanded our captain to stop so they can basically rob us. When the captain didn’t stop the attacked us with flaming bow & arrows and tried to climb on board from the back. The sailors on our boat had to fight them off by throwing large sticks at their boats to try and sink them. One guy was hit in the leg but the pirates eventually backed off and we made it down the river safely. I got it all on video too!Would highly recommend Peru, theres something for everyone here.

- Bus to Colombia border - I was robbed (money stolen from my bag) on a bus from Quito to Colombias border.
- Quito- Felt dangerous and was warned not to go out at night
Overview: Crossed the border from Peru to Cuenca via night bus. Cuenca is a very beautiful town and it reminds me of Cusco or maybe Sucre in Bolivia. Very nice people did a tour by bus around the town. Banos was my favorite, so many fun activities to do in situated inside the mountains. I wanted to go to Cotopaxi and the Galapagos but did not have time. I will come back to Ecuador and maybe my rating will be higher. I do not recommend spending much time in Quito, it should be used as a stopover point but you should go to the Equator while you are there. I would recommend.

I only recommend if you go out to the jungle as well, otherwise not much going on.

FAQ:1. Did you find South America to be a dangerous place?
a. Overall no, it’s not what the U.S media makes it out to be but there are some places where you should be cautious. I was physically robbed in Cartagena and had money stolen from me on a bus in Ecuador. The places I felt were most dangerous were:
i. Santiago, Chile
ii. Quito, Ecuador
iii. Cali, Colombia
iv. Medellin, Colombia (For men specifically, women here are spiking their dates drinks and robbing them, some men have overdosed and died from the spikes.) Be VERY careful when going on dates with the local women here.
b. You really just need to be smart, be aware, don’t be drunk walking the streets at night, and don’t wear flashy accessories or walk around with your phone out and you’ll be fine.
2. Did you ever feel discriminated against or experienced any racism as a POC?a. I only had two negative experiences that I felt were because of my race and they were both by Chinese individuals.
i. Chinese kids running away from me like I was the devil in Paraguay
ii. Was with a Chinese market shop owner. I was standing at the register forever waiting for her to check me out and she basically never acknowledge d my presence. She just floated around doing random tasks basically ignoring me the whole time. I asked her to ring me up but she ignored me. TLDR; Quit my job to travel the world for 2 years, just finished off my first year in South America where I went to every country except for Venezuela and spent a total of $23,733.
I am starting my second year of travel off in India where I will be for a month then off to Thailand for a year in SEA. I will have a budget of $24k. I have absolutely no regrets and I am having the best time of my life.

Bolivia:

Places visited: Uyuni, Sucre, La Paz, Copacabana/Lake Titicaca
Total Cost: $1187.29- $69.84/day
Rating: 8.4/10 (underrated)
Highlights:
- Uyuni- Salar de Uyuni tour was a cool experience, did the 3d/2n tour.
- Sucre- Beautiful town, great food
- La Paz- Did the death road bike tour, going downhill on those small dirt roads with the huge cliffs was terrifying at first but I LOVED IT.
- Still a lot of Inca influence
Lowlights:
- l almost passed out on the Salar de Uyuni tour when I went in one of the hot springs
- Can be very hard to breathe at first due to the very high altitude
Overview: I would say Bolivia is pretty underrated. You have to do the Salaar de Uyuni tour. I did it when the salt flats were dry so all you could see is salt for miles which looked like snow but if you do it during rainy season you’ll get a cool mirror effect. It is very cold in Bolivia as they are at a high altitude. Sucre is a beautiful old town with all white buildings. In La Paz you should be careful of altitude sickness as it is the highest Capital city in the world. I highly highly recommend doing the death road bike tour for a good rush, its pretty safe but they do have landslides that may wipe out the road. Bolivia still has a huge Inca influence so it is very different from the rest of South America.

Highlights:
- Arequipa- Beautiful town, good food. Did a tour bus ride, rode ATVs.
- Cusco- One of the waitresses asked me out and we went on a few dates. Ended up spending 2 weeks here. Beautiful place. Road the train to Machu Pichu. Ate Cuy here (Guinea Pig)- Huacachina- Many fun activities to do here. Did sandboarding and ATVs in the sand dunes.
- Iquitos - took the slow boat from Iquitos to Yurimaguas, 5 days, no internet, just relaxing on a hammock…got attacked by pirates which was an adventure.
- Hauraz- Beautiful hike to snowcapped mountain with a lake
Lowlights:
- Was riding a night bus from Arequipa to Cusco and the bus broke down at 2am in the middle of nowhere, no internet connection. Had to wait a few hours for a new bus to pick us up.
Overview: One of my favorite countries in South America. The landscape here is very diverse from mountains, to deserts, to jungles it has it all! The locals are pretty out going here and muy amable. For those of you that love hiking I would recommend Huaraz. If you want a jungle experience you can go to Iquitos or Puerto Maldonado. I did Iquitos because I wanted to take the slow boat up the Amazon. You can only fly to Iquitos, you can not drive. Obviously you have to visit Machu Pichu as well, I took the train and it was a cool train ride through the mountains.
Funny story - For the slow boat in Iquitos to Yurimaguas it was a 5 day journey up the Amazon. You have to sleep on a hammock and they feed you breakfast, lunch and dinner. On our second day on the river our boat was blocked by 4 smaller boats and they demanded our captain to stop so they can basically rob us. When the captain didn’t stop the attacked us with flaming bow & arrows and tried to climb on board from the back. The sailors on our boat had to fight them off by throwing large sticks at their boats to try and sink them. One guy was hit in the leg but the pirates eventually backed off and we made it down the river safely. I got it all on video too!Would highly recommend Peru, theres something for everyone here.

- Bus to Colombia border - I was robbed (money stolen from my bag) on a bus from Quito to Colombias border.
- Quito- Felt dangerous and was warned not to go out at night
Overview: Crossed the border from Peru to Cuenca via night bus. Cuenca is a very beautiful town and it reminds me of Cusco or maybe Sucre in Bolivia. Very nice people did a tour by bus around the town. Banos was my favorite, so many fun activities to do in situated inside the mountains. I wanted to go to Cotopaxi and the Galapagos but did not have time. I will come back to Ecuador and maybe my rating will be higher. I do not recommend spending much time in Quito, it should be used as a stopover point but you should go to the Equator while you are there. I would recommend.

FAQ:1. Did you find South America to be a dangerous place?
a. Overall no, it’s not what the U.S media makes it out to be but there are some places where you should be cautious. I was physically robbed in Cartagena and had money stolen from me on a bus in Ecuador. The places I felt were most dangerous were:
i. Santiago, Chile
ii. Quito, Ecuador
iii. Cali, Colombia
iv. Medellin, Colombia (For men specifically, women here are spiking their dates drinks and robbing them, some men have overdosed and died from the spikes.) Be VERY careful when going on dates with the local women here.
b. You really just need to be smart, be aware, don’t be drunk walking the streets at night, and don’t wear flashy accessories or walk around with your phone out and you’ll be fine.
2. Did you ever feel discriminated against or experienced any racism as a POC?a. I only had two negative experiences that I felt were because of my race and they were both by Chinese individuals.
i. Chinese kids running away from me like I was the devil in Paraguay
ii. Was with a Chinese market shop owner. I was standing at the register forever waiting for her to check me out and she basically never acknowledge d my presence. She just floated around doing random tasks basically ignoring me the whole time. I asked her to ring me up but she ignored me. I was going to leave until another customer came to the register (Argentinean) and then she immediately came over. She proceeded to ring up my items but she didn’t scan them, instead she entered the price herself and i noticed that she up-charged me on a few items(the price was clearly written on the items) and I called her out for it. She gave me a very stink look and put in the correct price. When I left I told her to have a good day and she said absolutely nothing to me and gave me the nastiest look.
b. Locals in all countries were very nice to me and helped me when I needed. When I tried speaking Spanish with them I received even better treatment.
3. Are you afraid you won’t be able to find a job when you return or struggle getting back on your feet?
a. No, throughout the last year I have had many friends lose their jobs and the cost of living and inflation is skyrocketing, it sounds like I chose the right time to leave. En primer lugar, esta un video musical que pasaban por el antiguo canal 13 (en su epoca cuando aun el logo era verde) era un video sobre un pollito que se escapa de un matadero, crece y después de un tiempo cuando ya es un gallo va en busca del dueño del matadero y comercelo (se que es bastante bizarro, pero me da cuiosidad si soy el unico que se acuerda de ese video), desconozco totalmente el nombre de la banda o de la canción, solo recuerda fragmentos del video como una persona vestida cómo un gallo con traje y al final del video se ve al gallo comiendose la pierna de un hombre jajaja se que es raro.
En segundo lugar y mucho más serio, no sé si alguien de ustedes se acuerde de una gaseosa o alcohol que bendian antes en Colombia que era para niños, tenía varios colores diferentes y la temática era de super héroes. Pregunto ésto porque segun recuerdo esta bebida la bendian entre el año 2000 y 2006, y me acuerdo muy bien que la descontinuaron por algo muy grave, incluso la noticia fue popular a nivel nacional, tanto así que mi papá para ese entonces tenia una tiendita donde vendia ese producto y le toco quitar los posters que tenia de esa bebida. Source: 2 fired PA’s from Tis Productions - the home network Paramount subcontracted to produce Global All Stars season 1, 2 and 3 in Colombia.
This PA leaked pictures of cast members and also has a few videos of Alyssa being abusive to the cast PAs on set. She explained that Alyssa went through 4 cast PAs and got them fired because they were not sufficient enough to get Alyssa ready. Alyssa wanted 6 people getting her ready. Even though originally queens were supposed to share a PA between 2 queens. Alyssa also refused to give up her phone and was hostile to all the caterers and cleaning staff picking fights with them because they were trying to do their job as instructed by world of wonder. Several staff members were yelled at daily by Alyssa who demanded everything from them, things that are not included in their contracts.
Alyssa also had a meltdown on episode 7 backstage because she was sick of being safe in the challenges and demanded the producers of WOW put her in the top and give her wins or she was going to walk out of production. She was unhappy with her track record and tried to pull strings constantly.

A little context, I'm an IB student and I'm from Colombia (sorry if I make mistakes, englis is my second language)
Yesterday I felt overly tired for no reason and I had to go to school, everything went well but it was kinda weird until later in the night I started getting goosebumps and I felt really dizzy, I thought I'd sleep it off.
Today I felt really bad, I had to go to school because it was de CAS presentations, my legs, arms and chest were ridiculously red, with other simptoms like dizziness and throwing up my breakfast.
I told my mom how I felt but she just discarded it and gave me two pills, I took them and felt a lil better. When I got to school I was burning, so I went to the nurse I had a 38°c not bad but not great.
I decided to speak with my teacher and asked if I could present to her and stay with the nurses the rest of the day, she said yes, then my mom texted me "your father and grandfather are going to be there at 9am" Then she started berating me because I wasn't prepared for the presentation (idk why she thought that, my presentation is really good)
So I told her what the teacher said to me, it wasn't necessary for them to be there, unless they were taking me to the doctor or seeing other presentations, she told me she didn't care what the teacher said and I have to present at least for them, at this point I was beyond sick and really mad and told her "when I say that I feel bad I'm not shitting on you " she then told me I was being mean and stopped answering.
I went back to CAS and started working until another teacher looks at me, asks me if I'm okay, I said that I'm a little sick and then asked me to stay in the nurse, that I don't need to worry about the presentation, I'll send a video or something, because "health is more important"
The nurse told me to call my dad and ask him to come for me, when I did, he gracefully started screaming at me, I hung up, then called the driver (my dad is blind so he couldn't get me alone and my mom was in a meeting) he told me in 30 min they'll be in the school, then I slept during those 30 min in the nurse's office, when they got me I said hi to everyone except my dad (I know it was petty) when he asked me why, I just said I was disappointed on both of them, I got home and called th doctors and believe that what I have is dengue, I have to make a blood exam tomorrow because if it is and we wait I might bleed to death basically (at least that's how the doctor made it seem) when I told my dad he just said "oh" and sat down
My mom is asking me to apologize to him for not saying hi and being mean. AITA

Holaaa, llevo intentando sacarme el practico en Madrid, Alcalá de Henares y llevo ya dos intentos fallados, y francamente he desistido porque siempre ponen pegas a todo, y no es problema de manejo de coche. Además en las dos veces que he suspendido, todos mis acompañantes también lo han hecho. Hablando con mi profesor de autoescuela me ha comentado que últimamente están suspendiendo más alumnos que antes porque a los examinadores les han dado un toque. Por ello me estoy planteando hacerlo en Ávila, ciudad en la que nací y he pasado mucho tiempo de mi vida, sin embargo leyendo un articulo de 2020 del Diario de Ávila, escriben que Ávila tiene una alta tasa de suspensos, sin embargo luego leyendo en foros antiguos (2021), dicen que es fácil, entonces era por saber si alguno se lo ha sacado recientemente en Ávila y su experiencia.
